About Sandy Wave

With the generous donation of the shareholders of Sandy Wave Limited ("Sandy Wave"), Sandy Wave aims to provide seed funding for proof-of-concept projects of Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) in order to support students learning experience. It also aims to support THEi's research projects, in which their basic research results have reached applicable values, that can be beneficial to the industry for large-scale applications.

In this regard, Sandy Wave is not just a platform; it's a dynamic space where industry and academia converge. We create opportunities for collaboration, connecting industry partners with students and faculty to embark on real-world projects and groundbreaking research.

Showcase the capabilities of the teaching staff and students of Thei

Sandy Wave's primary objective is to showcase the talents and capabilities of the teaching staff and students of THEi to the broader community. This can be accomplished by featuring their projects, sharing their successful stories, and highlighting their achievements.

Introduce the various course designs of Thei

Sandy Wave aims to introduce the various course designs of THEi to potential students and industry partners. This includes providing information on the various programmes and courses offered by THEi, as well as highlighting their unique features and benefits.

Build a platform for collaboration

Sandy Wave strives to build a platform for the industry and THEi to collaborate on various projects. This includes creating opportunities for industry partners to work with THEi students on real-world projects, and connecting industry partners with THEi teaching staff to explore potential research collaborations.

A key objective for Sandy Wave is to foster innovation and creativity among THEi students. Sandy Wave provides resources and support for projects that are creative and unique and encourage students to take risks and explore new ideas.
